KinderMoves is a series of fun themed physical activity sessions specifically designed for 3 – 5 year olds. The program assists children to participate in structured physical activity, gain experience at using a wide range of innovative equipment and practise balance, ball handing, listening and concentration skills. Our mission is to provide fun, organised opportunities for children to be physically active with age specific development. |

KinderMoves sessions run for 40 minutes and follow a specific theme that is repeated for 2-3 weeks in a row providing children with a sense of familiarity and confidence before introducing new activities.
The KinderMoves themes are:
- Nursery Rhymes Program |
- Animal Program |
- Numbers Program |
KinderMoves sessions include the following format of activities:
Warm up activity - a fun activity to introduce the theme and prepare the bodies for the session
Cardiovascular activity - exploring gross motor and locomotor movements
Skill based activity - involving hand-eye coordination and ball handling skills including throwing, catching and kicking
Game - games for the children involving physical activity often incorporating the play parachute, balloons or other innovative equipment
Balance & Stretch - movements that introduce the idea of stretching and allow an opportunity to practise balancing
KinderMoves Instructors have the following qualifications:
- Certificate III and IV in Fitness
- KinderMoves instructor accreditation
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children Check / Police Check
